Birdseye Maple is created by new shoots forming and stopping during the growth process, leaving what looks like bird eyes in the grain.

Our bag tags come in multiple species of wood, and are finished with tung oil for a weather resistant finish. At the end of each season, just wipe a coat of your favorite wood oil across it to keep it looking fresh. Or let it weather and get a lovely patina.
